Falcon Printing
1. No film is involved. This means no heavy metal waste is produced, no harmful chemicals and no polluted water.
2. The plates are not coated in any chemical other than inert silicon. The plates are re-cyclable.
3. The press operation is 'waterless'. The press uses far less chemicals than a conventional press. We only use a minute amount of chemicals for cleaning the press.
4. We intentionally print only 4 colour process (CMYK) on the DI Press. This saves a huge amount of chemical waste involved in washing off spot colours.
5. We try to use only vegetable oil based inks.
6. The rapid set up/make ready time of the DI means that a minimum of paper waste is generated. (Uses fewer trees).
Waterless Printing Association
Many printers have been drawn to waterless printing because it eliminates dampening-related volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the printing process. Some VOCs have been linked to the deterioration of the earth's protective ozone layer and, consequently, to global warming. Now, with the release of water-washable inks, the waterless pressroom can be virtually VOC-free.Dove House - Unused Office Furniture (Local)

The WeeeCare Campaign - Computer/Electronic Disposal
Commencing 1 July 2007 any business that manufactures, brands or imports electrical and electronic equipment are responsible for the cost of collection, treatment and recycling of obligated WEEE generated in the UK.
Where producer compliance schemes do not apply in relation to non-household WEEE, the last user is responsible for treatment, recycling and environmentally sound disposal of all forms of WEEE. Also, where producer compliance schemes might apply, the regulations do allow for negotiation between producers and business users over the allocation of responsibility for non-household WEEE - for example a user may be able to negotiate a discount on the purchase price of the EEE in exchange for accepting the disposal responsibility.

We are calling on the government to:
- Take a lead on the global stage, working for an international agreement to cut climate pollution. World-wide this must be in decline by 2015.
- Cut the UK's emissions by at least 3% year on year.
- Help the poorest countries get access to clean energy, help them cut out poverty and deal with the climate disasters they are already facing.
